12 month stats

19 pounds 13 ounces
28 3/4 inches

Madelyn had her 12 month check up on her birthday. I know! Terrible mommy for having shots on her birthday. There were only supposed to be 2 but we got the flu shot too while we were there. (Karlee was able to get Flumist this year and no shot!!!)

** Two center bottom teeth and two center top teeth.

** Walking EVERYWHERE!

** On table food. Loves sugar free banana popsicles (thanks to Grandaddy).

** Climbs anything and everything like a monkey.

** Favorite place in the house is INSIDE the kitchen cabinet with the tupperware bowls.

** Will climb the stairs in a heartbeat if the baby gate isn't up.

** Has loved whole milk from the first sip this week. Bye bye formula!!!!

** Says "bobble" when she wants a bottle or sees you fixing one.

** As soon as you pull a shirt over her head, she says "boo" and laughs. Cutest thing ever!

** Says bye bye back to you when you say it to her and waves.

** LOVES her sister and says "sissa" all the time.

** She gets the biggest grin whenever she sees Sable on the back porch and tries to say doggie.

** Will play with something and talk to it the whole time in baby language and range her voice up and down like an actual conversation.

** Usually kicks her covers off and turns around in the bed to lie on top of them.

** Extremely happy child and laughs at anything.

** Chip says she is in 4-wheel drive all day long.

** Naps 2 times a day and sleeps very well at night!!!!

The past year has been one full of many blessings. I really don't know what any of us would do without Madelyn. Now that she is walking, watching her and Karlee play and interact is one of the brightest parts of my day. When it's getting close to bed, Madelyn will crawl in my lap and put her head up on my shoulder. She's a snuggle bug at night time.

I look back at the past year and think how hard the first 6 months were. The C-section had be down and out for 8 weeks (it rocked my world more than I ever thought it would have). Then, major surgery when Madelyn was 6 months old. I would not change a bit of it though. God only gives you what he knows you can handle. We all made it through it and are forever changed because of it. In the end, we have a beautiful, healthy daughter that has brought joy to all of our lives. And, I can't complain at all about that.

Happy First Birthday Madelyn. Mommy, Daddy, and Karlee love you so much.
