We woke up early Christmas Eve morning to get our long, fun day started. We began our day with a delicious breakfast at Chip's parents house and then exchanged gifts with them. The last gift Karlee opened was a train set. The funny part about this gift is that it was the one thing that both girls went to first the minute they walked through the door that morning. The track was set up with the train on it and wrapping paper was laid over the top and taped to the bottom of the board Stanley made for the track to go on. Madelyn started patting the paper and all of a sudden it made a noise and started moving, inside the wrapping paper! The look on both of their faces was priceless.
Here are a few pictures from our morning with the Baker's.
Around 2:00, we loaded up and went to my parent's house to eat dinner and exchange gifts with them, Adam, and Erin. My mom was going back and forth with what to fix for dinner so I told her I would handle dinner this year. My chicken marsala was devine!! The second we walked through the front door, the girls saw a gift for both of them right off the bat, and of course had to get on it. Then, Karlee went outside to see what Granpa was doing and found another gift for both the girls! She was a tad bit excited!!!
We gave the girls a bath and put them in their Christmas pjs at my parent's house. We loaded up again and went home to get ready for Santa's big arrival. Karlee was excited to put out her cookies and she thought Santa would like chocolate milk this year. After our long day, we were all ready for bed!
Our tree before Santa even arrived. Sheesh!! We all had a great Christmas!
