Memorial Day weekend was very uneventful due to the weather. We were at the lake for the weekend dodging rain storms. Between bouts of rain, the kiddos managed to get in a game of wiffle ball. And, Karlee was not just going to sit and watch. She wanted to be right in the middle of the action.
Trey pitching and daddy teaching Karlee how to hold the bat.
"I can do it on my own daddy!"
Excuse me Karlee but the ball is at your head and you are supposed to be swinging! The ball actually hit the bat and daddy said she was bunting.
Time for some in the field play with Hamilton.
I didn't pull out the camera much since the weather was terrible. Karlee had her first boat ride in a thunderstorm. What's a holiday weekend without at least one of these? She hid under towels beside me on the back of the boat and thought we were playing hide and seek with the rain. She'd pop her head out and pop it right back under. One time I looked up and she was sticking her tongue out trying to catch some of the rain drops! Too bad that rain drops feel like stinging bees on a moving boat. We made it home safely but wet from Chimney Rock and Karlee wanted to just play in the rain. So, that we did. She was in a bathing suit and would be wet anyway if she were swimming. My mom captured some of those pictures and she is one big smile from ear to ear.
