Karlee is holding her head up so well. She loves her play mat and being on her stomach. I think with all the stomach problems she's had, it feels good to have some pressure on it. She's starting to be very alert and watches my every move. Her little coos, smiles, and laughs just brighten my day.

2 months old
Karlee turned two months old on Tuesday. She had her first set of shots yesterday and did really well considering the circumstances. She only cried for a few minutes. Dr. Greer likes for mothers to nurse their babies right after the shots to comfort them. He closed the door and put up a privacy sign and said take as much time as needed. I like him more and more every time we see him. Karlee nursed well and went right to sleep. She slept four hours when we got home. She also slept better last night than she has in a while. I guess the trauma just wore her out.

Busy Weeks
It's been a while since I posted. It's been a busy few weeks. Karlee attended her first social event, Thomas Dilworth's birthday party. Doesn't she look like the party animal in my arms?
Karlee was a little more active at Hudson Galimore's birthday party. She's wearing an outfit her daddy surprised her with when Giggles and Coos opened.

Happy Feet!!
Karlee loves to lay on her play mat and kick her feet. She actually likes to kick her feet anytime: feeding, bathing, diaper changing. She's kicked me in the face several times while changing her diaper. She just oohs and aahs while kicking her little feet. I just remembered I had these shoe rattles. It is so funny watching her kick with these on. Her feet go faster while she's wearing the rattles. They are still too big so I spend a lot of time putting them back on her. Maybe this means she will be a tap dancer like her mommy was.
Day of Relaxation
After five weeks of Karlee crying everyday, I was about to go insane. My mom told me to take a day off and do something relaxing. So, last Saturday, Karlee spent the entire day at my parent's house. I felt like a cow at a milk factory all week pumping enough milk for a whole day. I was bound and determined to do it though. Mom picked Karlee up around 8:30 and Chip and I headed to the lake. It was absolutely beautiful last weekend. Chip fished all day and I stayed on the back of the boat sleeping and reading. It felt nice to be myself again and enjoy a stress-free day with my husband. I called my mom several times that day though because I couldn't help but wonder what they were doing. We picked Karlee up around 7:00 that night and have had a great week since. She's playing more, rather than crying, during the day and sleeping really well at night. I think we both just needed a break.
Bath Time
Karlee's cord stump finally fell off on her one month birthday. Chip and I were starting to think it would never come off. I was ready to see how she would like a real bath. She always cried during her sponge baths. Thank goodness, she loved it. Her eyes got really wide with the first dip of her feet. Then she just smiled and loved every minute of it. Now, at six weeks old, she kicks her feet under the water. I hope that means she will like swimming since we practically live at the lake and the pool in the summer.
New Friend is Born
Karlee had a new friend arrive into the world on Feb. 27. Her name is Anna Scout Wohleb. Her mommy, Elisha, and I have been friends since high school. It's so neat that we were pregnant together. Now Karlee and Anna can grow up being friends. I can only hope they have as many fun times as Elisha and I did. Our senior year in high school was probably the best year ever. And to top it all off, we had a blast in Europe over Spring Break. Those were the good 'ol days with not a care in the world!! Look at us now, both moms together with two precious little girls.
